Lottery Game Helps Assess Brain Damage Following Stroke

Patients that are recovering from a stroke sometimes behave as if completely unaware of one half of the world: colliding with obstacles on their left, only eating off one side of their plate or only dressing half their body. This disorder affects about 45% of people with strokes in the right side of their brain. Researchers have developed a quick and simple lottery game which can assess the symptoms and potentially aid the design and rehabilitation programs.
