Lionfish on the Spread

Lionfish are spreading and judging by their numbers they are not going anywhere. The only sensible thing to do is to catch them and eat them. Scientists from Oregon State University are now desperately trying to control the ever growing situation. According to another scientist lionfish are capable of eating every other fish on the coral reef and could destroy reefs. This scientist goes about by saying the best method to reduce numbers is to use them as a commercial fish, they taste good and are easy to catch. On thing is for certain though these fish must be controlled, and soon.

  1. Hopefully the Lionfish population will become controlled soon. The native fish literally have no clue what is hitting them and they are being taken out fast. And also just when we though the coral reefs have taken enough of a beating, here comes one more thing for them to worry about. This problem must be addressed soon.

  2. Its crazy to think that simple Lionfish have a huge population and other anmials are becoming distint. Hopefully they can control it and save our coral reefs.

  3. how are these fish staying alive while other species are becoming distinct? I love scubba diving and looking at the coral reefs(or what is left of them)so lets get the fishermen out there and get us some lionfish!
