Live Thrives in Ocean Canyon

In a recent article as titled above, it discusses data that was gathered from a canyon in the Pacific Ocean. This canyon is Kaikoura Canyon and can be found off the coast of New Zealand. Two researchers found a vast amount of life in this area of the ocean, "more than 100 times higher" than other ocean habitats. Their findings consisted of a variety of species of worms as well as sea cucumbers in mass amounts. They believe that the importance of their findings to be that disturbing these habitats may have larger consequences than what people previously thought.
