Chicken...or Soy?

Soy has become pretty popular over the years. There is basically soy everything anymore. Now there is soy chicken. It looks, tastes and feels just like regular chicken but its not. It low cost and has benefits like lowering cholesterol, preventing certain cancers (like prostate and breast), and strengthening bones. To create soy chicken the scientists start with soy proteins that are extracted from soy flour. Then it goes into the extrusion cooking process. The taste appeal and appearance is that of a regular chicken breast. The FDA says individuals should have 25 grams of soy in their diet, this would be a great way to get the soy and have the benefits of a meat product.

  2. I absolutely love chicken and this soy chicken sounds delicious and it's a total plus that it is healthy and can lower cholesterol, I'm going to have to let me father know about this he had stents put into his arteries a couple years ago and he is one of the most physically fit people I know. He runs marathons and his clogged arteries were all because of high cholesterol, now he eats chicken brown rice and we cook with grapeseed oil that is known for lowering cholesterol. This soy chicken sounds very healthy and interesting..good find

  5. This article was extremely interesting to me. In fact, my friend has been a vegetarian for two years now and has tried different types of soy products, such as soy bacon, and soy hot dogs. I have never had the chance to try soy, although I am interested in tasting the difference. I was unaware that the FDA suggests 25 grams of soy in a human diet, as well as the fact that soy lowers cholesterol, prevents certain cancers, and strengths bones ( which is really beneficial for women).
