Giant Lizard Species Discovered

Deep in a dense Philippine jungle, a massive species of monitor lizard has been identified. And one of the researchers who helped locate the 6 1/2-foot-long creature says this new discovery may not be the last
With its slit-shaped nostrils, banded tail, yellow spots and double penis for males, the new lizard has been known to villagers in the northern reaches of Luzon island. They cal it bitatawa.
But the species-officially known as Varanus bitatawa - has only just come to the attention of scientists, who say it is a relative of the Komodo dragon. Unlike its carnivorous cousin, bitatawa dines on plants, not flesh, and tends to spend most of its time out of sight, hidden in the treetops of the forest.
This is quite a beast! I guess the only good news about this lizard is the fact that it eats plants!
