Fishing Is Killing Turtles

After a recent study it has been conformed that over the past 20 years millions of sea turtles have died due to commercial fishing nets. All of the research was done by either interviews with fishermen or actual observations. To make matters worse six of the seven species of turtles are either vunerable or endangered. According to the study the two areas with the most activity are Mexico's Baja peninsula and the Northern Adriatic region of the Mediterranean sea. While the numbers are only very good estimates they still demonstrate the need for better fishing guidelines.
