Last Ancestor Humans Shared With Worms Had Sophisticated Brain, microRNAs Show

The last ancestor we shared with worms, which roamed the seas around 600 million years ago, they might have had a very smart brain that could of done many different tasks. It may have already know to released hormones into the blood and was connected to various sensory organs. We find this information out, not by finding a fossil, but by testing microRNAs. They are a small RNA molecule that regulate gene expressions, they are present in all live animals today.

Scientists have found that these molecules are found in these worms in the same tissue that they are in living sea creatures today. There findings were published in Nature magazine, including their finding of microRNAs. The microRNAs are only found in a specific location in the brain, in mostly all animals, they say that it's only in this spot because it holds a certain job in most animals.

I thought this article was very interesting because we are always been told that we were once a pig, a fish and even a worm, before we came to be humans. This article just helps me believe that maybe we were a worm before forming into what we are today..humans. It's a really interesting article if you keep reading and I think that the picture is pretty cool too.
