I found this video very interesting, since this is the first time I'd ever heard of a dog giving blood. The thought never occured to me that vet's and animal hospitals need blood for the sick pets. This video shows that all of the dogs are screened and tested and they are able to give blood that supplies the animal hospital with blood to use on animals that are sick.

Oh. This is a pretty interesting tid bit of inforamation. I too did not know that dogs gave blood until reading this blog. After reading the entire blog however, i was releived because after reading just the title i thought dogs were giving humans blood for a minute but i knew that couldn't have been right. lol
ReplyDeleteThis is interesting. Like you said, I never thought of animals needing blood as well. I always just thought that humans were the only ones that need to donate blood.
